Nest New York’s Indigo Perfume Smells Like a Rainforest

For a long time, I didn’t understand the hype behind fig perfumes. The fig note can be found front and center in many of the most popular It Girl fragrances, like Diptyque’s Philosykos or D.S. & Durga’s Debaser. I then, however, discovered Indigo, a fragrance from the popular candle brand Nest New York. It was fig like I’d never smelled it before. Supported by cool cardamon and grounded by an earthy tea note, this scent reminds me of a lush, green rainforest. We’ve been getting a lot of summer rainstorms where I live, and the atmosphere matches this scent perfectly.

The purple flowers and green leaves of Indigo’s bottle reflect the deep, complex juice inside. As someone who’s usually not a fan of fresher, greener fragrances, this is the one I reach for when I want to feel cool and collected, or when it’s just too hot to wear a heavier perfume.
