It’s not just deals that people can look forward to, but some new menu items at some places. Pennsylvania-based Rutter’s in particular, is dropping six new hot dogs to their summer menu for a limited time to celebrate National Hot Dog day, per NACS.
These include the BLT Dog, Fried Pickle Dog and Reuben Dog, Cheese Dog, Cuban Dog and Spicy Slaw Sausage. Each adds a special twist to the classic hot dog, with their names hinting at the changes.
The Fried Pickle Dog exchanges a regular hot dog for a “zesty and crunchy fried pickle spear along with banana yellow peppers, mustard and fresh tomatoes,” while a Reuben Dog features “savory corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and Thousand Island dressing.”
