Sofia Vergara is expanding her Walmart empire with the nationwide launch of her ready-to-eat Latin food brand, TOMA.
First unveiled last summer, the brand is now available at Walmart stores and on Walmart.com with two varieties of frozen empanadas, pandebono (Colombian cheese bread), and frozen ham croquetas. Pricing starts at $5 for the pandebono and goes up to $7 for a four-pack of empanadas.
Vergara has worked with Walmart for years, with a successful clothing and swimwear line, as well as a popular collection of fragrance and accessories. The new food brand is a partnership between the actress and hospitality vet Sam Nazarian’s food and beverage platform, Everybody Eats. TOMA also brings in Vergara’s son, Manolo, and Latin World Entertainment’s Luis Balaguer, to create an “innovative Latin culinary brand” that aims to pair tradition and taste.

TOMA Chicken in Salsa Verde Empanadas (4-Pack)
Vergara has been dutifully promoting TOMA, recently posting images from her kitchen while on the set of a TOMA shoot, and also bringing the empanadas to Monaco in May for the RD Grand Prix experience during F1 weekend. The brand has also hosted activations at Busch Gardens and EEEEEATSCON, to name a few.
In a press release, the America’s Got Talent judge says that TOMA is “a celebration of family, tradition, and the rich diversity of Latin American cuisine,” bringing some of her favorite snacks and meals from her native Colombia to the U.S. market. TOMA is also a family affair, with the name derived from a combination of Vergara’s nickname “Toty,” and Manolo.
“TOMA represents a labor of love for our family,” the actress says. “This is our love letter to Latin food, and we couldn’t be prouder to share the recipes Manolo has been perfecting since he was a child. Walmart’s reach allows us to bring these beloved flavors into homes nationwide, offering everyone a taste of Latin America.”
The products “are not just restaurant quality,” adds Manolo: “they are Grandma-approved!”

TOMA Croquetas (8-Count)
All of the TOMA products at Walmart are frozen for convenience and can be heated in an air-fryer, baked in an oven, or fried.
TOMA officially launched in June 2024 with eight flavors of empanadas, croquetas, pandebono, salsas and more, and the brand says its offerings are currently available on menus at more than 40 locations globally, in addition to select products at Walmart.com. You can order them online for easy, same-day pick up in stores.
In addition to padding Vergara’s partnership with Walmart, TOMA is also the latest entrepreneurial endeavor from LA impresario Nazarian, whose current nightclubs and restaurants include Zouk Los Angeles, and Casa Dani, by three Michelin-starred Chef Dani Garcia. Nazarian’s sbe group is also set to open a new Katsuya concept and outpost this summer inside Westfield Century City Mall.
