But we’re not underestimating the power of an extra-long blouse and pants anymore. Fashion houses like Chloé, Ralph Lauren, Etro, and Acne Studios have all placed their bets on wearing dresses over pants for summer 2025, proving that this boho look is here to stay for a while.
Slim and skinny jeans in particular have positioned themselves as the favorites of the season. Where baggy silhouettes would compete with the drape of a dress, a slender pant is a sophisticated and practical option that can be styled depending on the occasion. In fact, the two in combination create a nice balance: Because the pants are so slim, a dress or long blouse can add much-needed volume and lengthen the figure.

The translucent fabric of a sheer or lace dress will always be delicate and sophisticated. Pair it with jeans, however, and you have an avant-garde look.
