Adam Sandler Has a Rare Family Red Carpet Outing

Adam Sandler is out on the town in his finest “golf dad chic” attire—and his wife and daughters are there by his side. It can only mean one thing: it’s the world premiere of Happy Gilmore 2.

Adam and his family appeared at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City on July 21 for the event. Surrounded by giant golf balls and golf carts on the grassy green carpet, Adam gave the method dressing trend a spin, opting for a wonderfully brash Hawaiian shirt—a bright yellow top with a neon palm leaf print, to be precise—which he paired with coral Nike shorts, white socks pulled high up his calves, and a pair of blue and white sneakers.

His family kept things a little more understated. His wife, Jackie, opted for a chic black gown with flower details around the shoulder straps and a glamorous A-line skirt. It made for some very cute mismatched couple moments.

Meanwhile, their daughters, Sadie and Sunny, 19 and 16 respectively, kept things casual and Gen Z-approved. Sadie wore a slouchy black sweater with jeans and a smokey eye look, while Sunny wore a cropped white t-shirt and jeans. Both wore their dark hair down in center parts.

Sunny and Sadie are no strangers to the red carpet. In fact, they’ve joined their father on screen in a number of projects. Sadie appeared in Bedtime Stories (2008), Grownups (2010), and Grownups 2 (2013). In 2023, both girls appeared alongside Adam in You’re So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah.

However, as Adam later explained, his daughters still treat him like—well—a dad. “They still don’t talk to you. They go do their thing,” he said, per People. “They do the best they can, and then they go do their life.”

“I am on the side going, ‘Love you,'” he added. “I say I love you a lot to them.”
