These 8 Vanilla Perfumes Are My Most-Complimented Fragrances

If I had to pick one scent to wear for the rest of my life, it’d be vanilla—and that’s coming from someone who owns over 150 perfumes. IMO, the scent gives the comfort of a hug, being cozy, warm, and sweet without feeling heavy or headache-inducing. Like many, my love for vanilla started in middle school with a cloyingly sweet mall brand body mist that lasted on my skin for all of 15 minutes. Fast-forward to now, my taste is a bit more elevated with a growing collection of rich-girl vanilla scents—after all, they’re among my most-complimented fragrances. From syrupy, decadent vanillas to musky and warm, woody iterations, here are my most-treasured vanilla scents that are so good, people follow me down the street to ask what I’m wearing.

Phlur Vanilla Skin Body Mist

Phlur Vanilla Skin is such a heavy-hitter in my perfume collection because I can wear it alone or layered with other vanilla perfumes to prolong its longevity. Aside from vanilla, it features notes of pink pepper, apple, and cedarwood, so picture the kind of grown-up, sexy vanilla that the coolest girl in the room would wear. Plus, it comes in an eau de parfum version if you’re looking for something a little more luxe. 

Maison Francis Kurkdjian Gentle Fluidity Gold Eau de Parfum

If you’ve heard of Maison Francis Kurkdjian, it’s likely because of Baccarat Rouge 540, the brand’s most popular scent. It has gorgeous woody, amber notes, but if you want something with It Girl qualities that’s a bit more unique, try Gentle Fluidity Gold. With additional notes of nutmeg oil, coriander, and musk the scent profile is rich and understated—it’ll make a whispering statement without smelling like everyone else in the room. 

Cyklar Vanilla Verve Perfume Oil

Fun fact: I don’t leave home without this perfume oil in my purse because it’s great for reapplication. It has a bright, candy-like quality with notes of bergamot and heliotrope and some spice from balsam and cardamom. It’s perfectly balanced, slightly sweet, and pairs well with other vanilla fragrances to extend the wear-time. 

Giardini Di Toscana Bianco Latte Eau de Parfum

I own 150+ perfumes and Bianco Latte is my most-complimented of the entire lot—it might even be my favorite perfume. It features notes of vanilla, caramel, white chocolate, milk, and honey, smells like a milky, flakey pastry, and is absolutely decadent without smelling sickly. I’ve had people follow me through stores to ask what I’m wearing. If you’re a gourmand-lover, this is for you. No wonder PerfumeTok is obsessed with this scent. 

Kayali Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar Eau de Parfum

Speaking of gourmands, Kayali makes some of the best, and Vanilla Candy is one of my favorites. It features notes of candied pear, bubble gum, vanilla cream, and sandalwood, having a nostalgic, candy-like sweetness with brightness from the pear that makes it feel elevated. Yes it’s sweet, but don’t mistake it as youthful. 

Matiere Premiere Vanilla Powder Eau de Parfum

Picture a sophisticated vanilla scent with some coconut and palo santo undertones—that’s Matiere Premiere’s Vanilla Powder Eau de Parfum. Vanilla-forward? Yes, but if you’re not a fan of vanilla, this fragrance is still very likeable and long-wearing. The name suggests a powdery vibe, but it’s actually quite bright, modern, and definitely signature scent-worthy. 

Laura Mercier Ambre Vanille Eau de Parfum

If you like lactonic, creamy, warm scents, Ambre Vanilla is one of the best. It smells like an elevated version of Jergens lotion, so just imagine the scent of warm, clean, familiar skin. It’s sweet and comforting. 

Victoria Beckham Beauty 21:50 Rêverie Eau de Parfum

This vanilla-scented eau de parfum smells as rich as you would expect from Victoria Beckham’s line. With notes of tobacco, plum, tonka, and cedarwood, it’s sultry, woody, and toasty. The tobacco is minimal, adding depth rather than the smokiness you might typically associate with tobacco, while the vanilla is surrounded by musky and woody notes, so it smells sublime and elevated.
