Paramedics performed CPR on-site for over an hour, but were unable to revive him. Authorities have not yet confirmed the official cause of death, pending further medical reports and an autopsy.
According to his manager, Mark Teitelbaum, “Alon was a brilliant actor, a true artist, an Israeli icon … but more importantly, he was a loving father of his four children and a dear friend of mine and many others,” Mark told THR. “He possessed both a moral and spiritual clarity that is rare to find. As you might imagine, his family is in shock. He will be deeply missed. May his memory be a blessing.”
With more than 100 screen credits to his name, Alon was best known internationally for his varied roles in The Dark Knight Rises, Rambo III, and London Has Fallen. He is survived by his wife, Shir Bilia, and their four children.
