The real MVP of The Devil Wears Prada 2? Anne Hathaway’s Coach messenger bag, which we have now seen her wear in several photos taken from the New York City set of the upcoming sequel. If this is all sneaky advertising for the legacy handbag brand—a way to prove how all-purpose and yet consistently chic this classic accessory is—we can’t even be mad.
The latest pics of Hathaway and her new favorite messenger bag are by far the most dramatic. The photos, from July 28, show the actor, as Andy Sachs presumably, frantically running through midtown Manhattan while clutching the black leather bag as if it contains the nuclear codes. The bag itself appears to be a vintage Metropolitan briefcase, which was first introduced in 1999.

This time Anne Hathaway’s Coach bag has been paired with a very corporatecore ensemble. On top, Hathaway wears a navy-blue V-neck sweater under a pinstripe navy blazer. The sweater is tucked into pleated black trousers and paired with black leather boots that are surely not the most convenient for running. Luckily, Andy Sachs is well-trained in the art of sprinting through New York City while wearing high fashion.
