Lindsay Lohan Regrets Participating in This Popular Y2K Beauty Trend

Lindsay Lohan is a beauty and fashion icon through and through. From her chunky platinum highlights and low-rise jeans of her early Disney days to her soft gloss blonde and full-length gowns of today, LiLo has always been the blueprint. While she has her rightful place on Y2K Pinterest boards everywhere, the actress deeply regrets participating in one early aughts trend.

The mom-of-one appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon earlier this week to promote her highly-anticipated new movie Freakier Friday. While chatting with the host, he pulled out a photo of Lohan and her costar Jamie Lee Curtis at the 2003 premiere of Freaky Friday. Let’s just say, there is one beauty fad she won’t be repeating during this press tour.

“I wore way too much black eyeliner in my teens,” she said of the snap, which sees her in a metallic-gold minidress with a low-cut neckline, A-line silhouette, frilly hem, and satin bow detail. She styled the dress, at the time, with black open-toe heels, a couple of rings, a charm necklace, and dainty earrings. Her blonde-highlighted locks were styled in a half-up, half-down ‘do with full fringe and she glammed up with rosy cheeks, illuminating highlighter, glossy lips, and heavy smoky eyeliner.

“No, you look cool,” Fallon reassured her.

Lohan did in fact forego smoky eye makeup during the Freakier Friday premiere earlier this month. She stunned in a bubblegum-pink gown that featured a plunging sweetheart neckline, pleats throughout, a cinched waist, bedazzled straps, a floor-grazing skirt, and silver sequins all over. For a touch of method dressing, she paired the centerpiece with a bedazzled microphone clutch, an opulent diamond necklace, matching earrings, and a lavish statement ring.

Lohan looked radiant in rosy makeup, complete with glossy strawberry-pink lips, bright-pink cheeks, glittery pink eyeshadow, defined eyebrows, and freckles. She styled her long, vanilla-blonde strands in loose curls.
