It’s time for another Spencer sister wedding!
Lady Eliza Spencer—the niece of Princess Diana and one of the daughters of her younger brother, Earl Charles Spencer—is engaged, she announced on Instagram on July 31. Spencer has been with Channing Millerd for the better part of a decade now, and showed off her diamond ring in a red halter-neck dress, including the moment Millerd got down on one knee in Santorini, Greece, candles and flowers beside them. “Forever and Ever,” she captioned the carousel.

Spencer hinted at a soon-to-come wedding to Hello!, telling the outlet during a joint photoshoot with Millerd that “It feels as though we’re getting married. This is good practice for walking down the aisle.”
“Marriage is definitely something we’ve talked about,” she added.
The big question: will Spencer be the one of her sisters to finally wear the heirloom Spencer tiara that her aunt Diana wore for her own 1981 wedding to Prince Charles? Both Spencer’s twin Lady Amelia Spencer (who married in 2023) and her older sister Lady Kitty Spencer (who married in 2021) skipped the chance—and it remains to be seen whether she will decide to do the same.
Spencer, a model and brand ambassador, and Millerd, a tech executive, previously told Hello! that they were considering a destination wedding in a sunny climate, like Spain: “We love the idea of a destination wedding,” she said. “We feel drawn to Italy, especially somewhere by the ocean—that feels so romantic to us.” (Kitty wed billionaire Michael Lewis at Villa Aldobrandini in Rome four years ago this month.)

Spencer also said that she loved Amelia’s wedding in South Africa, telling the outlet that “Spain has that same coastal charm we adore. At the same time, Amelia and Greg’s wedding in Cape Town was unforgettable, and South Africa will always be home.” (Charles Spencer and his family relocated from the U.K. to South Africa in the mid-1990s after the press attention around Diana became too intense.)
At the time, Spencer told Hello! that marrying Millerd was “a beautiful idea for the future. But right now, we’re just enjoying our journey together, supporting each other in our careers and personal growth. When the time feels right, it will be incredibly special, but for now, we’re just appreciating every moment we share.”

In marrying Millerd, Spencer will also become a stepmother to Millerd’s son, Nate, from a previous relationship. Of her bond with Millerd, Spencer said, “We have such a strong, loving, and supportive relationship. He truly is my best friend. We understand each other so well, and no matter what life brings, we’re always there for one another.” She added, “I absolutely believe he’s the one—our bond is built on so much trust, laughter, and shared values.”
Spencer met Millerd after the tragic loss in 2008 of her boyfriend, Chris Elliott, who died in a car accident at just 17 years old. “I went through a very difficult time and had an incredible [support] team, who I am grateful to,” Spencer told Tatler, appearing visibly emotional. “They helped me get through it, along with support from my family and friends. I still see my therapist.”

Millerd, she said, has been “incredible. I want to say how fortunate I was to have found someone like him. He has held me through the sad times and anniversaries. He doesn’t try to change my past.”
Of Spencer’s resilience, her twin sister Amelia said in that same interview, “I can’t tell you what an inspiration she is to me. She is the strongest person I know.”
And, now, one prepared for her happy ending.
