Brigette Pheloung is channeling her inner Kate Hudson while out wedding dress shopping.
The influencer, who posts under the name “Acquired Style” online, recently gave followers an inside peek into how wedding dress shopping is going — recreating an iconic scene from the romantic comedy Bride Wars.
In the clip, Pheloung slips into full movie mode, delivering the film’s most quotable line to the camera: “You don’t alter Vera to fit you, you alter yourself to fit Vera.”
The scene, made famous by Hudson’s character, Liv, in the 2009 rom-com, has become a cult favorite, and to top it all off, Pheloung had the added wow-factor of wearing the exact, iconic Vera Wang dress from the movie — lavender bow and all.
“I rewatched bride wars last week🥹🤍,” the influencer captioned the post, which now has nearly 28,000 likes.
Fans of the movie in the comments were quick to express their jealousy at the moment, with one commenter writing, “I have wanted to wear this my entire life.”

Bride Wars follows two best friends, Liv (Kate Hudson) and Emma (Anne Hathaway), as they duke it out over accidentally scheduling wedding dates on the same day at the Plaza Hotel.
Luckily for Pheloung, however, it seems that the planning is going a little bit more smoothly than it does in the movie’s plot.
Pheloung announced her engagement to her longtime boyfriend Mitch McHale back in June, after the pair had been dating for nearly eight years.
“Can’t stop crying,” she wrote alongside a video of her engagement, announcing the news.
She followed up the news with another video a few days later, breaking down the exciting moment — and giving followers some background on her love story with McHale.

Pheloung, who has built a massive social following with her fashion-focused content and day-in-the-life vlogs around N.Y.C., said she knew she was going to get engaged in either the summer or fall this year.
The influencer — who boasts over 2M followers across both Instagram and TikTok and is also known for her identical twin sister Danielle, who is also a content creator — had been steadily sharing glimpses into her wedding planning journey since the proposal. From venue visits to sharing hints on her bridal mood board, followers have been eating up the content.
“At first I thought this was satire and you were at the louvre,” one commenter wrote on a video Pheloung shared of her touring wedding venues.
Surprisingly, the fashion influencer admitted in another video that she has been feeling “uninspired in the wedding dress department,” but was hoping that going shopping would spark some ideas.
And, if her social media track record is any indication, the big reveal is likely to come with a dramatic, staged photo op.
Back in November 2024, the content creator went viral on TikTok for showing up to her family’s Thanksgiving celebration wearing a massive, nearly $9K sweater dress.

At the time, the N.Y.C.-based content creator told PEOPLE that she has been creating a spectacle out of her holiday outfit choices since 2021.
Just a month later, Pheloung surprised her family and fans once more, showing up to the Christmas Eve gathering in a 10-pound gown that was an exact replica of the 2007 Holiday Barbie’s dress.
Dress choices aside, Pheloung did share details about her engagement ring, giving a shoutout to Ring Concierge in her video, where the pear-shaped stone was picked out and designed.
“I’m so thankful it’s from a brand that I love and trust,” she shared, adding, “Every time I look down at it, I think, ‘Yeah, it’s perfect and beautiful’! But I also think about the amazing life that me and McHale will build forever.”
