Emily Blunt changed up her look to keep up with the fast-paced fashion world of The Devil Wears Prada 2.
On Thursday, Aug. 14, Blunt, 42, sported a new bleach-blonde bob with a shadow root on the New York City set of the upcoming sequel to the hit 2006 film. The actress also wore a black-and-red striped Coach sweater featuring an apple shape with “N.Y.” embroidered in the center, a clear nod to the film’s location. She completed the look with a silver tie.
She wore Dior sunglasses and vibrant red pants before switching into tights, a black Maison Margiela skirt, and maroon heeled ankle boots for the shoot.
The new hair is a sharp departure for her character, Emily Charlton, who famously sported her signature deep red locks in the original movie. When Blunt was seen on the set on July 29, she was still a redhead, suggesting that Emily will change hair colors at some point in the story.

Emily Charlton is the former assistant to the cold and particular Runway magazine Editor-in-Chief Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) in The Devil Wears Prada.
The 2006 movie was adapted from former Vogue assistant Lauren Weisberger’s book of the same name. Weisberger worked for the former Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, who recently stepped down from her position at the magazine after 37 years.
Anne Hathaway reprises her role as Andy in the sequel. The original movie saw the recent college graduate in the high-intensity world of fashion and global media. She juggled her humble past with a bright future while working as an assistant to Miranda Priestly, with the help of a new friend and Runway art director, Nigel (Stanley Tucci).
