After Collin Gosselin took to TikTok to say he and his seven siblings were “forced apart,” Kate Gosselin is speaking out.
On Aug. 7, Collin took to his TikTok account to share a photo of himself and his 7 siblings as children and also a photo of himself as an adult driving in his car.
“Born to be a team, us against the world,” Collin wrote on the picture of himself, his older sisters Cara and Madelyn and his other five sextuplets, Hannah, Alexis, Joel, Leah and Aeden.
“Forced to do it alone, and wonder every day what our lives could’ve looked like,” he continued on the photo of himself in his car.
In the caption, Collin wrote, “Forced apart, pitted against each other. All the fame and money in the world, but what about kids being kids?”
“I will always love them more than anything,” he said of his estranged siblings. “The tears I shed behind closed doors, thinking about the memories we could’ve shared. I love you guys.”
Collin’s dad, Jon Gosselin commented on the post, writing, “Maybe some day we can all be together again, Love ya.”
Collin lived with his father after he was institutionalized at the age of 12 by his mom. In 2016, Kate told People that Collin had “special needs” and was getting the best help he needed.
However, Jon publicly claimed that “Kate institutionalized him without a diagnosis and then created a diagnosis. He did not need to be in an institution.”
Jon later assumed custody of Collin, removing him from the institution, after Hannah also moved in with him.

According to Fox News, Kate responded to Collin’s TikTok post during one of her own TikTok videos. The video showed Kate loading her dishwasher when a commenter shared a screenshot of Collin’s post.
In response to the comment and the screenshot, Kate wrote, “He knows why.. ” with a crying face emoji.
Kate also responded to other comments, thanking people for their kind words.
“Loving this content. To be honest when I was growing up, the way you were portrayed, I thought you were too harsh. As a mom of 4 (6,6,3,1) now I GET IT. Watching things back you are so intelligent and organized and efficient! Keep being you, Kate,” one commenter wrote.
“Thanks Madison for your kind comment! I was really trying to do my very best… just a bit overzealous at times. But only bc I cared SO SO much about my kids,” Kate responded.
