Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi have welcomed a brand new addition to their fairly new family.
On August 21, the 21-year-old Stranger Things star and her 23-year-old husband announced they welcomed a “sweet baby girl through adoption” earlier this summer. “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy,” they wrote in a joint Instagram note.
“And then there were 3,” the note continued, “Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.

Millie Bobby Brown is pretty good at keeping secrets—and we’re not just talking about Stranger Things spoilers. In May of last year, she managed to get married in private following her year-long engagement to the son of rockstar Jon Bon Jovi.
Of course, news of their new addition should not come as too much of a shock, given that Brown has been outspoken about her desire to start building “a big family” with Bongiovi. “My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19,” Brown said Smartless interview in March. “And you know, it’s been my thing since before I met Jake. Since I was a baby, I told my mom, like, baby dolls. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me.”
She even hinted at her interest in adopting. “I don’t see having your own child, you know, as really any different as in adopting,” she said at the time. “For me, like, my home is full of love for anyone and anything, and so that is what we stand by, Jake and I—our energy in the house is like, ‘The door is always open.'”
Millie Bobby Brown “dreamed” of being a mom well before she felt a desire to get married at all. “I wanted to be the woman that my mom is to me and I wanted to be the woman that my grandmother was to me,” the 2023 Woman of the Year told Glamour at 19 years old.
