Date nights are few and far between for Carson Daly and Siri Pinter.
The Today show host, 52, and his wife, who is a food blogger and cookbook author, exclusively chatted with PEOPLE during one of their rare date nights, sharing in a joint interview how such outings usually look.
“This,” Daly said on the red carpet during the Aug. 18 opening night of comedian Jeff Ross’ one-man Broadway show, Take a Banana for the Ride.
“It’s definitely this,” Pinter, 44, quipped alongside her husband of nearly 10 years during the event at the Nederlander Theatre in New York City.

The Voice host added, “We don’t get too many [date nights]. My schedule’s a little crazy. We’ve got four kids.”
The former host of MTV’s Total Request Live and Pinter are parents to son Jackson and daughters Etta, London and Goldie.
The longtime couple, who wed in December 2015, met in 2005, when Pinter worked as a writer’s assistant on Last Call with Carson Daly.

Four years after they met, they welcomed their first child together, Jackson, who has since appeared on the Today show alongside his co-host father and his mother, an on-air food contributor.

The couple and their four kids live in New York City.
“We lived here for a while. We don’t get out,” Daly told PEOPLE at the Broadway event. “My wife and daughters come to the theater a lot. I don’t get here that often, so I’m excited for tonight.”
