On Monday, Aug. 25, Billy Ray Cyrus celebrated his 64th birthday.
On Instagram, he shared a video of himself enjoying the birthday present his daughter, Miley Ray Cyrus, created for him.
The video reveals Billy Ray walking along a grassy field as he holds his phone in his hand with a big smile on his face. As he moved around the outdoors, amongst his animals, Billy Ray played the song Miley recorded specially for him.
“For my birthday, Miley gave me the gift of music,” Billy Ray wrote in the caption of the video, revealing that his 32-year-old daughter “wrote me a song called ‘Secrets’.”

Not only that, but Billy Ray shares that Miley even got his “favorite musicians Fleetwood Mac to play on it! I love you Mile,” he wrote.
Thousands of his fans liked the video, including Miley herself. Billy Ray’s girlfriend, actress Elizabeth Hurley also commented on the video, wishing him a Happy Birthday.
“Happy Birthday and what a beautiful video to a beautiful song by your beautiful daughter,” Hurley wrote.
Actor Dennis Quaid also shared a message with the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer, writing, “Happy birthday Billy Ray.”
The special birthday present from Miley comes after months of speculation of a feud within the famous Cyrus family, which Miley addressed in June as a guest on The New York Times’ “The Interview” podcast.
“Timing is everything, you know. There’s been enough bridges now of time to get us all reconnected,” Miley said, at the time.
“But now that my mom is like so in love with my step dad Dom (Purcell), who I’m also, just, I completely adore. And now that my dad, I see him finding happiness outside of that too. I can love them both as individuals, instead of as a kind of, you know, a parental pairing,” Miley continued explaining.

“I’m being an adult about it. At first, it’s hard, because the little kid in you reacts before the adult in you can go, ‘yes, that’s your dad, but that’s just another person that deserves to, you know, be in his bliss and to be happy.”
Several months later, in a recent interview with People published on Aug. 21, Miley’s sister and Billy Ray’s youngest daughter, Noah Cyrus, shared similar sentiments, also addressing the rumors, adding, “I keep myself quite separated from any interest or ‘drama’ with the family. The one thing that’s connected us with the entire world is music, and that’s what’s the most important to us.”
“Everybody’s great and loves each other. I think when you grow up with that being normal—things being public—that it doesn’t quite reach you,” Noah told People. “At the end of the day, this is a family, and that’s really it: just going through normal family stuff.”
