It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Timex’s new Superman campaign. Officially available for pre-order starting Aug. 26, 2025, the iconic watchmaker is teaming up with filmmaker James Gunn, DC Studios, and Superman for a special-edition timepiece: the Timex x Superman Marlin Jet Automatic Watch.
The launch commemorates last month’s blockbuster Superman film, which Rolling Stone’s David Fear called a “living, breathing comic book.” If you haven’t seen it yet, that should be your cue to fly to the nearest theater.
Retailing at just under $370, the Marlin Jet Automatic Watch honors Superman with striking blue-and-red hues and his signature shield on the dial — a reminder to clock in at the Daily Planet or maybe to save the world.

“What makes Superman such an enduring and beloved hero is not solely his physical might but his innate goodness and strength of heart,” said James Gunn, in a release. “I wanted to design a watch that embodied those values, and who better to bring it to life than Timex. This watch is a tribute to a hero who’s timeless, and to fans who never stop believing in him.”
Beyond its Clark Kent-inspired details, the watch features the best of Timex: a “38mm stainless-steel case, domed Hesalite crystal (like the original Marlin Jet), a premium vegan leather strap, and Gunn’s autograph engraved on the back,” according to the brand.

“Designing a watch is like telling a story: every line, curve, and material has meaning,” said watch designer Giorgio Galli in a release. “Collaborating with James, a master of cinematic storytelling, felt natural. Together, we created a timepiece as enduring as Superman himself: crafted in steel, built with purpose, and designed to stand the test of time.”

This isn’t Timex’s first dip into pop-culture collaborations, either. The brand has previously partnered with Peanuts, Fortnite, MLB, NHL, and NFL, all of which you can shop online here.
Only 1,000 pieces of the Timex x Superman Marlin Jet Automatic are available, and are expected to ship this November. They won’t last long, so act fast. After all, time flies.
