Macaulay Culkin is ringing in his 45th birthday with his fiancée Brenda Song by his side.
The actor, who celebrated his birthday on Tuesday, Aug. 26, shared a video of himself and Song, 37, on Instagram that showed Song in bed as she sang along to the Backstreet Boys’ 1996 song “I’ll Never Break Your Heart.” (The couple attended one of the band’s concerts in Las Vegas in July.)
“Shut up!” Song told Culkin with a laugh in the video. “This is 45. Couldn’t appreciate it if I didn’t have it. It’s all worth it,” Culkin wrote in the caption.
In a separate Instagram post Culkin shared a photo of the children’s book My Friend Is Sad. Culkin wrote in a caption that one illustration in the book, which features an elephant and another animal embracing as the elephant says, “My friend is here now,” makes him feel the same way he did when he and Song began dating.
“Through the good times and the bad, this is how I remember Brenda when she first came into my life,” Culkin wrote in that post. “This is what we are all looking for. I found it. I want it for you too…”

Culkin, known for his roles in the Home Alone movies, began dating Song in 2017 after they got to know each other on the set of the movie Changeland. The couple got engaged in 2022, and they share two sons: Dakota, 4, and Carson, who was born in 2023.
Song and Culkin have had a major year in the spotlight after Song appeared in movies like The Last Showgirl at the top of 2025 and held a starring role opposite Kate Hudson in the Netflix comedy Running Point. “8 years and there is still no one who makes me laugh or smile like the way you do,” Song wrote of Culkin in a post she shared on Instagram June 18. “No one who makes me feel more seen, heard or loved. My partner in crime, my adventure partner, my best friend, my baby daddy, my favorite everything- thank you. To be loved by you is the greatest privilege. Happy anniversary. I love you.”
