Survivor star Angelina Keeley revealed that she recently suffered a pregnancy loss.
Keeley, who was a fan favorite on Survivor: David vs. Goliath, and will be returning for the upcoming Survivor season 50, revealed on Instagram on Monday, Aug. 25, that she found out “a few days ago” that she had a miscarriage while carrying her third child.
The reality star, who shares two daughters with husband Austin, shared the news alongside a black-and-white photo of an ultrasound and pregnancy test stick, which showed a line indicating that she was pregnant.
“We were on the brink of announcing the happiest news — our third baby,” she captioned the post. “We had heard their heartbeat and started to imagine our family with one more little love.”

“But a few days ago, I went to the ER and after an ultrasound they confirmed I was having a miscarriage. 💔,” she continued. “I want to share this because I know so many women who have walked this devastating path and for me it’s healing to share the joy (however brief) and grief.”
“I know I am not alone. I know I will hold my perfect babe in Heaven one day. And I know I will carry them in my heart and cells forever. ❤️,” she concluded the post.
Keeley was announced as a contestant for the newest season of Survivor — dubbed Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans — in May alongside fellow fan favorite Christian Hubicki. The new season features players from the first season of the popular reality show, which aired in 2000, through season 48, which wrapped earlier this month.
Following the news, she shared an Instagram video of her returning home and greeting her daughters after several weeks competing in Fiji on the latest season of the show.
“HOME and my heart is whole again! An absolute honor to be on Survivor again and proud I got to play for my daughters this time around,” she captioned the post.

However, her daughters weren’t left without something to remember their mom by while she was gone. She revealed that she created a children’s book for her daughters explaining why she left for Survivor and “what was going on.”
On Instagram she shared a few of the drawings from the book, which included an image of her wearing a pink tank top and shorts with a headband that read “Survivor 50.” Additional pages showed her waving goodbye to her family as she headed toward a tropical destination and reuniting with her daughters when it was all over.
