Taylor Swift is living her wildest dreams.
Hours after the pop star, 35, revealed her engagement to Travis Kelce, also 35, in a joint Instagram post on Tuesday, Aug. 26, Swifies dug up past footage of the singer predicting the exact age she would get married.
In an interview taped long before Swift was a household name, the singer, who appeared to be a teen at the time, tells a television show host that she won’t get married until she’s 35 years old.

“My music is where I’m always gonna be personal. I don’t hold anything back in that category,” a youthful, curly-haired Swift said with a smile.
The host points out that the “Shake It Off” singer’s mother, Andrea Swift, was present but sitting off-camera.
“So we’re not gonna find out until you’re married, and your mom’s here, so Mom? Not allowed to get married until she’s 35?” the interviewer playfully said of her guest.
Swift agreed, adding, “No, it’s gonna be late. Late in life.”
The “Love Story” singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end went public with their romance in October 2023 when they stepped out holding hands at a Saturday Night Live afterparty.

Just one month before the confirmation, they sparked dating rumors when she showed up to her first NFL game in September as he played the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” she captioned their joint announcement, adding a lit dynamite emoji.

And though the big reveal came on Aug. 26, the Super Bowl winner’s father, Ed Kelce, claims the couple shared the special moment together approximately two weeks earlier.
In an interview with News 5’s John Kosich on Tuesday, Ed said the proposal took place “maybe two weeks, not quite two weeks ago” at a garden at Travis’ home.
