It was a Spin City reunion for former co-stars Heather Locklear and Michael J. Fox, who were pictured together this week at a fan convention.

Fox ultimately left the show and was replaced by actor Charlie Sheen.
Speaking during a panel at ’90s Con in Daytona Beach, Fla., in 2024, the actress opened up about the differences in working with Fox via his replacement.
“I did Spin City with two different costars, Michael J. Fox and Charlie Sheen,” Locklear said during the panel, recalling how Fox departed the series at the end of the fourth season in 2000 because of his Parkinson’s diagnosis. Sheen replaced him as a new character, Charlie Crawford, before the show was canceled in May 2002, after six seasons.

“They’re brilliant,” she added of both actors. “They know how … one is fast talking and the other is slow.”
Locklear also said that, because of the difference in their acting styles, she had to adjust how she played off her Spin City costars accordingly.
“The timing [difference] between Michael and Charlie I had to get used to. Michael is a fast guy, Charlie is mmmhmmm,” she said. “So [the challenge] was really having to get my timing better. They get to be who they are and I’d get to be … not who I am.”
Both Locklear and Fox have made recent appearances at fan conventions — Locklear to discuss her her time on projects such as Melrose Place and Fox to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Back to the Future.
