Karrueche Tran just dropped a big hint about her love life — and fans are convinced it’s all about Deion Sanders.
The Bel-Air actress, 37, appeared on the “What’s Next w/ J. Ryan” podcast on Thursday, August 29, where the host teased her recent interest in football. “I saw you took a liking into football recently,” J. Ryan joked, sparking the question of whether Tran is seeing anyone.
“Yeah, I’m dating,” Tran replied, without hesitation.
When asked if she was “having fun,” Tran doubled down with more insight. “If I wasn’t having fun, I wouldn’t be in it,” she explained. “I’m at a point in my life, like, I know what I want.”
Tran, who previously dated Chris Brown and former NFL star Victor Cruz, added that she has no interest in wasting time. “I’ve dated a lot, I’ve done a lot,” she said. “I did this, I did that. So if I wasn’t happy and content and feeling good in my situation, I’m not wasting my time. I’d rather be at home, namaste. Nine o’clock, doing my own thing if I’m not happy. So yeah, I’m in a good place.”
Her coy responses arrive just one month after she was spotted by Sanders’ side during a difficult health battle. On July 28, Tran appeared in an emotional YouTube video filmed from the hospital, where Sanders, 58, prepared to undergo surgery following a bladder cancer diagnosis. Fighting back tears, Tran said, “We are here at the hospital because we are dealing with…” before whispering, “We are dealing with bladder cancer. He is having his bladder removed.”
The following day, she was again by his side, this time helping the NFL Hall of Famer take his first steps after the successful May 9 procedure.
The public support fueled immediate speculation that Tran and Sanders were more than friends. Now, her confirmation that she is “dating” — paired with her new love of football — seems to point directly to the University of Colorado head coach.
Sanders, a father of five, has long been in the spotlight for both his football career and his personal life. He shares daughter Deiondra, 33, and son Deion Jr., 31, with first wife Carolyn Chambers, and sons Shilo, 25, and Shedeur, 23, along with daughter Shelomi, 21, with second wife Pilar Biggers-Sanders. He and Pilar finalized their divorce in 2013.
Sanders went public with his bladder cancer diagnosis during a July press conference, urging others to prioritize their health. “This wasn’t easy,” he admitted. “Men, everybody, get checked out. Because if it wasn’t for me getting tested for something else, they wouldn’t have stumbled up on this.”
