Your weekly horoscope is here. Communication switches from bold to finessed as Mercury follows the sun into precise Virgo. Apply your mind to the detail of communication, that includes all the ways we say what we really mean!—body language, micro expressions and tone of voice. You already pick everything up; you’ll just become more conscious of it and a better communicator yourself. If you have forms to fill out or a project that needs fine-tuning, combing through, proofreading, or editing, now is your time to shine. Get granular while the cosmos supports it. Retrograde Saturn slips back from action-figure Aries to empathetic Pisces this week, so revisit a responsibility, project, or professional goal you may have fallen out of step with; slow down and reassess. Your grip on those goals may become slippery; however, this is the best possible time to immerse and really feel what’s right for you. It’s an inside job before taking it out into an external reality. Uranus swings into a retrograde on Saturday, suggesting a similar approach to innovation and change in your life. Go over your plans and inspiration while stabilizing your material ability to move forward.
Read on to discover what’s in store for your sign during the week of August 31 through September 6, 2025.
Aries (March 21–April 19)
Mercury follows the sun into your sphere of work and wellness, making this prime time to apply your mind to your vitality and work projects. If wellness is of interest to you, learn more about a niche topic and consider sharing as you go. Not surprisingly, a lot of us are interested in health- or work-related hacks. Communication at work is highlighted, as is your ability to shine in a way others see and hear you. Self-care spa days or seeing a holistic practitioner or specialist are all worthwhile endeavors. Practical Saturn backtracking out of your sign and into your sphere of dreams may either clear an obstacle for now or signal that it’s time to go back to the drawing board on a long-range plan or strategy. Don’t drop the ball, but do nail down your plans without trying to take shortcuts.
Taurus (April 20–May 20)
Leisure, hobbies, and self-expression are a focal point this season as the sun lights up this sphere, joined by Mercury on Tuesday. Through September 18, this may be about what you do on your time off, but that doesn’t mean it’s not practical, useful, or purposeful. What may be work for some may be fun for you. Getting on top of your files, organizing, updating, or clearing the house or yard so you’re free to pursue other interests is time well spent. Slow foods like fermenting are time well spent. If it’s good for your gut biome then that’s a bonus. Health is wealth and can certainly be classed as a pastime if you really engage in the moment and enjoy the process. Why not rope in family members or organize a day with friends to focus on food? Just because it’s leisure time doesn’t mean it can’t be useful. Learning about trading, cryptocurrency, and investing may be your idea of a good time. If so, go for it!
Gemini (May 21–June 21)
All things domestic are highlighted by Virgo season as the sun lights up the affairs of this zone. Further intrigue is afoot as Mercury, your ruling planet, brings the urge to connect and perhaps a service-oriented approach to detailed information. You may have a family member who could do with help with filling in forms, researching a topic, or otherwise working on a family chore that needs attention. You’re already well equipped to lend a hand, so through September 18 is the best time to get it done. Perhaps it’s your own project you’re applying your mind to, just closer to home than usual. Researching your family line or even catching up with family is all par for the course. You’re challenged to think not just about intriguing topics, but to put ideas into practice. Consider what is useful rather than just interesting.
Cancer (June 22–July 22)
Your local area picks up interest from Tuesday as the planet of communication and connection spins in, livening things up. Mercury is all about connecting via ideas, and the implements we use to carry forth and share those ideas. At one time, that may have been limited to speaking and writing, but now we have mini mobile devices, so share your local area with others. Connect with the people that share your space, who live and work around you. If you haven’t traveled far from your comfort zone, now’s the time. Find a purposeful way to connect and discover new things. Perhaps map out a new area if you’ve recently moved, or be community-minded by offering your services in some practical way.
Leo (July 23–August 22)
As Mercury (mind, thought, coms) follows the sun into your sphere of values and resources, it’s well worth applying your mind to a worthy financial goal. We all tend to be sleeping on so many resources without seeing the real value in them. Brainstorm what options you have and weigh up if it’s worth making the changes needed to activate them. Investing options have grown with advancing technology. Are you up to date? Or have you even begun? Research and sharpen your financial vocabulary and acumen. Investing in the foundations of your own business or side hustle may be the way you’re leaning; do the research, make a practical plan, and work out that budget. Five-year plan? Yes, do that and forecast your growth and profit. You’ll be amazed at what you can come up with and go for once you have a map and a goal.
Virgo (August 23–September 22)
You’re known for your sharp analytical mind, and perhaps the overthinking can run hot; however, the planet of communications, Mercury, is your “ruling” planet. No wonder your mind is always ticking. As an earth sign, you’re also about how useful information is, how it can be applied. Since Mercury shifts into your sign on Tuesday, it’s able to function well on home ground. This is a fantastic period to get on top of any mind or communication-related activities. Always wanted to pen a book or guide? Get it started, and hey, why not get it finished too? You’re able to communicate yourself, your desires, and your ideas well, so walk your talk all the way to the successful outcome you’re visualizing. Hone your elevator pitch, introduce yourself, and let people know who you are, what you want, and what you’re here for. Most importantly, communicate your why.
Libra (September 23–October 23)
Crack open a dream journal if you’re not writing up your nightly visions already. As Mercury, the planet of communication, winds its way into your sphere of liminal, subconscious awareness, connect with your inner terrain. As you write your dreams down or share them on waking, the meaning often reveals itself. If not at first, then further down the line, as you establish a bridge of communication with your inner symbolic self and voice. Just like a new friend, it takes time to establish trust and a relationship, even with yourself! Keep showing up, and this part of you will show up too. Journaling feelings, thoughts, setting a problem or question down on paper before bed, and “sleeping on it” may open up more options or answers. Especially if you make it clear that’s the goal.
Scorpio (October 24–November 21)
Connect with your special interest group/s as Mercury, the planet of communication, activates this sphere. You benefit from your hive mind of friends, extended networks, groups, and peers. If you seek a practical outcome, or are somehow of service to others in this area, even better. The sun is also lighting up this sphere, making it perfect for standing out, showing up, meeting big personalities, and those who are willing to pitch in. Perhaps friends born under the sign of Virgo are prominent now; they have a message for you and you for them: connect! Follow up, reach out, investigate an area you’re interested in and want to know more about, or share your knowledge if you’re at that stage. You can always try out ideas on a group of friends. What and how could you benefit your wider community while also making it worth your while?
Sagittarius (November 22–December 21)
The moon is in your sign through the weekend to Monday evening, forming the quarter-moon phase. Head out on an adventure, stimulate your mind with something fresh, or be that fresh, exciting wind for someone else as you gallop into their field of vision. We’re in Virgo season, and that means you are challenged to focus on detail, precision, and grounding your ideas into practice. This is especially important in your career zone. While you’re an energetic fire sign, Virgo is a service-oriented earth sign. Since Mercury, the planet of comms, also lands in your professional sphere from Tuesday, sort out your best practical ideas, refine and polish them, then present to interested parties. Research your audience, who to approach for collabs, or even who you may be of service to in a way that works for you too.
Capricorn (December 22–January 19)
We’re in Virgo season, and that’s good news for Capricorns, as you both share the element of earth. This reflects your practical, work- and business-oriented approach with a focus on service, streamlining, and efficiency. You may be more oriented to the larger community and perhaps even empire building than Virgo; however, you’re in sync with the modus operandi of this month. Since Mercury wings its way into Virgo on Tuesday, your communication, mind, and ideas benefit. This is your time to follow your curiosity, plan a trip, get on a plane, or apply for that line of study so you can stimulate your sphere of higher education, travel, and philosophy, . Are you ready to teach or lead a tour yourself? How can it work for you? Taking a philosophical approach to challenge creates space and a broader view, so bring this idea to friends who may be struggling, or to an issue you’re facing now.
Aquarius (January 20–February 18)
Time for detailed, deep, and meaningful conversations, plumbing the depths as Mercury, the planet of communication, heads up your sphere of hidden meaning and buried psychological—and perhaps real life—treasure. From Tuesday through September 18, make like Sherlock Holmes and parse evidence and explore the what and why of your secret self. And yes, we all have blind spots that influence our decisions. So bring what is in shadow to the light of consciousness. Using your mind in service to others, well, it might not be what you had on your bingo card, but there’s always a worthy cause. Generally, the practical details, the simple approach, and an eye on your mind-body balance and health are imperative. Be sure you don’t take on too much and do ask for assistance, since many hands make light work.
Pisces (February 19–March 20)
Saturn is the planet associated with that adulting milestone, the Saturn return. It’s about hard work, eventual mastery over time, and the challenges that create a pearl from a grain of sand. The last couple of years it’s been traveling through Pisces, demanding structure and discipline. This week it retrogrades back into Pisces through November 27, making it a fine time to swoop back on those career or long-term plans and finesse them. That could be structure around creative, artistic, or psychic skills or plans or business leanings. It could be constructing and reinforcing your boundaries in certain areas, testing and adjusting them. Since Saturn is hosted by your sign it’s especially important to face responsibility—to yourself, your career, your manifest reality in this life—and not escape. Do the work and reap the reward. That may be setting yourself up for ease in the future, or a career that makes the most of your natural interests and talents. Mercury in your opposite sign suggests nailing specificity in your one to ones. Talk turkey and don’t skip the details.
