Emma Stone’s not just dressing for fall at Telluride Film Festival, she’s practically dressing up as every fashion-lover’s favorite season.
Right after debuting her pumpkin spice latte—I’m sorry, sienna spice—hair at the Venice Film Festival, Stone hit up the much more low-key event for cinephiles in Colorado on August 30. Each year, we get our first real taste of fall style inspo from celebs at Telluride Film Festival, given the mild weather allows attendees to shake off summer style fatigue without overheating.
From head to toe, Emma Stone took the unofficial assignment very seriously. Aside from her auburn copper hair that screams PSL season, she opted for classic fall styling and textiles by pairing a cozy knit sweater with square-toed leather boots, modernizing the formula with a cool pair of supple leather barrel pants.
Of course, the focal point of the look embraced one of the biggest trends of the upcoming season: brown chocolate suede. Instead of working in a suede bag or sneakers, the outerwear aficionado opted to round out her autumnal ensemble with a luxurious oversized bomber jacket that I need in my closet right this instant.
While this look breaks a longstanding, if stuffy, fashion rule against pairing brown with black, this mix of rich textures make the combination feel relaxed and comfortable while her tortoise shell sunglasses bring all the tones together. Of course, this is a recipe Stone perfected this past spring when she paired a light brown suede jacket with a black sweater, mini skirt, and chunky loafers for an outing with Jennifer Lawrence.
Aside from some recent summer sporting events, Emma Stone tends to shy away from cameras outside of red carpet events, making street style photos a rare treat that comes once or twice a season. However, this look is all we really need to see to declare her a fall 2025 style expert.
