8 Editor-Approved Fall Denim Clothes at Target

Denim is a quintessential fall outfit staple in my closet, and celebs like Cameron Diaz and Courteney Cox have already begun to incorporate it into their transitional lineups. I always keep the timeless fabric on hand, whether it’s in the form of barrel jeans, an ankle-length dress, or a classic button-down top. 

Since I do most of my shopping at Target, I found eight denim pieces worth snagging to round out my summer-to-fall wardrobe. Universal Thread High-Rise Easy Barrel Ankle Jeans

Barrel jeans are hands down my favorite denim pant style. I can’t get enough of the comfortable, baggy fit that looks flattering when worn with a fitted top. This pair from Universal Thread has a classic button and zipper front, as well as front and back pockets, and a high waistline. One person deemed them “absolutely darling,” while another said they’re “so comfortable.”  

Universal Thread Long-Sleeve Relaxed Denim Shirt

A relaxed denim button-down is incredibly versatile, as it can be worn fully closed as a polished top or open as an oversized shacket. It’s a great alternative to a heavier jacket in the early days of fall when temperatures are still warm during the day. This long-sleeve piece is made with a midweight fabric and has a below-the-hip hem, making it easy to tuck it in.

I’m a huge fan of midi-length dresses, as they offer good coverage. Since I often see most denim dresses in mini lengths, I’m snagging this style for fall outings and days at the office while it’s still in stock. According to several reviewers, it’s very comfortable, and one said it’s “figure-flattering,” especially on curvier body types.

Just because fall is approaching doesn’t mean I’m kicking my denim shorts to the curb just yet. I love the ease and laid-back design of this drawstring style, which comes in four colors. I’m snagging multiple to have in my rotation for September, and thanks to their stretchy waist, I don’t have to worry about the dreaded denim shrinking that happens in the wash.
