The U.S. Open semifinals are starting to take shape. Carlos Alcaraz advanced to the semifinal after beating Jiri Lehecka to secure the first semifinal slot on the men’s side. On the women’s side, No. 4 Jessica Pegula advanced to the semifinals, and Aryna Sabalenka advanced after her quarterfinal opponent, Marketa Vondrousova, withdrew with an injury.
At a Glance: How to Watch U.S. Open
There are big matches still to play before the semifinals, including Novak Djokovic vs. Taylor Fritz, No. 1 Jannik Sinner, and Naomi Osaka’s quarterfinal match following her upset victory over Coco Gauff.
World No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz and No. 1 Jannik Sinner have, together, won the last seven Grand Slam titles. The pair met at two Grand Slams this year, with Sinner winning at Wimbledon and Alcaraz winning the French Open. There’s a good chance they meet again, although the U.S. Open has proven to be one of the more unpredictable tournaments.
If you’re looking to watch the 2025 U.S. Open, read on. Ahead are some of the best ways to livestream the U.S. Open online without cable, plus a schedule of events.
How to Watch the U.S. Open Online
Almost every U.S. Open match will be shown on one of the ESPN channels (ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNEWS), and a few matches will be broadcast on ABC. If you don’t have cable, the best way to watch the U.S. Open online is to get a live TV streaming service that carries all of the above channels. Here are some of the best options:
Editor’s Pick
DirecTV
➤ Five-day free trial
➤ $69.99/month
➤ Up to 185+ channels
DirecTV is our favorite cable streaming solution for sports fans. The live TV streamer carries ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNEWS, and ABC in a few of its plans, including the MySports package. This plan offers some of the best bang-for-your-buck in streaming, delivering 20+ key sports channels and a free ESPN+ subscription for $69.99 a month. Best of all, you get a five-day free trial to start.
Fubo
➤ $84.99/month (first month)
➤ $30 off first month
➤ Up to 400+ channels
Another one of the best cable streaming services for sports if Fubo. This one carries ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNEWS, and ABC in all of its (very large) packages, which start at $84.99 a month. Fubo offers a free trial, and you can get $30 off your first month after the trial ends.
ESPN Unlimited
➤ $30/month
➤ Includes ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN on ABC
Getting access to ESPN got easier with the launch of ESPN’s standalone streaming service in August. Unlike ESPN+, ESPN’s newest streaming service gets subscribers access to ESPN’s linear channels, including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN on ABC, and ESPN Deportes. There is currently no free trial option.
Sling
➤ $45.99/month+
➤ Up to 46 channels
Sling also carries ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNEWS, and ABC, but you’ll need the streamer’s top-tier Orange + Blue package to access all these channels, and ABC coverage isn’t as widely available as it is with DirecTV or Fubo. The Sling Orange + Blue package is slightly cheaper, though, starting at $60.99 a month. Sling does not currently offer a free trial.
