Fans already knew some of the celebrity competitors before the full cast was revealed on Sept. 3.
Robert Irwin, son of the late Crocodile Hunter star Steve Irwin, was the first contestant to be announced. The conservationist and zookeeper, who was revealed as a contestant in April, follows in the footsteps of his older sister, Bindi Irwin, who won DWTS season 21. Robert will be paired with pro Witney Carson.
Social media star Alix Earle was the next star to be announced in May, followed by The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt at the show’s season 2 reunion in June. Earle is partnered with Val Chmerkovskiy, Affleck will be competing with DWTS‘ newest pro Jan Ravnik, and Leavitt is paired with Mark Ballas.
In August, PEOPLE confirmed that Hilaria Baldwin is headed to the ballroom. She is set to compete this season with Gleb Savchenko.

The announcement that Ravnik was joining the ranks this season was shared last week.
Ravnik, one of Taylor Swift’s backup dancers, was announced as a new pro during an episode of GMA.
“I traveled all around the world with Eras Tour, and now I’m coming to the ballroom stage for Dancing with the Stars,” Ravnik said in a recorded statement. “Mirrorball never goes out of style, and we are ready to win it.”
Ravnik has also danced with singers like Paula Abdul, Mariah Carey and Bruno Mars.
Ahead of the cast reveal, the hosts and judges for Dancing with the Stars season 34 were confirmed.
Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro were confirmed back as co-hosts. Hough is a former contestant and two-time Mirrorball Trophy champ, while the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum won season 19.
At the judges’ table will be Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.
