Jimmy Kimmel is heading back to Brooklyn in the fall.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! is taping five shows in front of a live studio audience from the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Howard Gilman Opera House in New York, the host announced during Tuesday night’s show in his return from summer hiatus.
The tapings will run from Sept. 29 through Oct. 3, and one of the guests will be none other than Stephen Colbert, as the latter late night host prepares for his nine-month final season of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert following its shocking cancellation earlier this summer by CBS.
This marks the seventh time that Kimmel’s ABC’s late night show has traveled to Brooklyn to broadcast from BAM. More guests for the week will be announced at a later date.
Previous guests of Kimmel’s in Brooklyn have included Cardi B, Eminem, Jason Bateman, Wu-Tang Clan, Jon Stewart, Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael J. Fox, Alicia Keys, John Krasinski, David Letterman, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Tracy Morgan, Chris Rock, Senator Bernie Sanders, Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, Jay Z, Howard Stern and many more.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! broadcasts regularly from the iconic El Capitan Entertainment Centre on Hollywood Boulevard. Kimmel, along with Erin Irwin, Molly McNearney, Jennifer Sharron and David Craig, are executive producers; Douglas DeLuca is co-executive producer.
The 22-years-and-running late night show is produced by 12:05 AM Productions, LLC, in association with KIMMELOT and 20th Television.
On Tuesday, Kimmel’s fellow hosts Colbert, along with NBC’s Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers, all returned to their late night series from summer breaks. Bravo’s Andy Cohen returns Sept. 8.
