Until Sept. 3, 2025, Old Navy never housed a cohesive bag collection. Now, not only does the retailer boast a versatile assortment of totes, shoulder bags, crossbodies and clutches, but they’re all expertly imagined by American fashion designer Zac Posen. They’re also all under $50. Introducing: The Bag Shop by Old Navy.
In Feb. 2024, Posen joined Gap Inc.‘s sister brands Gap and Old Navy as creative director of the former and chief creative officer of the latter, and his latest endeavor is upping Old Navy’s accessory game with luxury handbags at a non-luxury price point. “Every stitch, thoughtfully designed,” says Posen. “Every detail was carefully chosen with clean lines, great proportions and materials in mind.”

The first of, presumably, many handbag drops is comprised of three sub-collections: The Carrie Collection, The Preppy Collection and The Romantic Collection. The bags are crafted from faux suede and faux leather, and retail for under $50, with 70 perfect of the assortment under $30. Finishes range from solid shades and two-toned color blocked designs to croc texture and animal prints.
First off, The Carrie Collection, the most classic and streamlined of the three, includes the Large Carrie Tote Bag ($44.99), the Medium Carrie Tote Bag ($34.99) and the Convertible Carrie Crossbody Bag ($29.99-$34.99).
