Sabrina Carpenter doesn’t seem to take herself, or her wellness and fitness routine, too seriously. It’s part of what makes her cheeky lyrics so fun (and relatable) and why everyone is obsessed with her much-anticipated new album, “Man’s Best Friend.”
But if you too are wondering how the singer manages to record music, release new albums, go on a world tour, and collaborate with her friend, Taylor Swift — chances are she is doing what she can behind the scenes to feel her best. While Sabrina doesn’t share much about her wellness routine publicly, we scoured the internet to find what we can. Below, find out more about what she does to pour into health — even if it’s short and sweet.
She’s “Casual” But Consistent With Her Workouts
While Carpenter said she’s “casual” with exercise in a 2022 Marie Claire interview, she’s been known to do several different types of workouts over the years. “I’m a little [casual] with exercise. It’s not an every day thing by any means, but I try to balance it out however I can, and at least once or twice a week do something a little bit more disciplined. I will take a class of some sort, or do a workout at home,” she said in the interview. Chances are, this could have changed in the past 3 years. But most recently, she trained with Megan Roup, founder of The Sculpt Society, to prepare for her “Short n’ Sweet” tour in 2024.
The Sculpt Society method incorporates fun, high-energy dance cardio workouts with low-impact sculpt workouts. I’ve worked out with Megan Roup IRL over the years and on the app; I can attest to how challenging, yet fun, the workouts are. The dance cardio is also easy to follow and approachable — not that Carpenter needs help with that area.
She also likes Pilates (who doesn’t!?) and often works out with her friends. “I do Pilates in my everyday life when I’m home,” she told Vanity Fair. ” I love working out with friends, because it makes me feel like I’m not working out, ” per Marie Claire. She’s also been spotted at Dogpound, the buzzy gym where Taylor Swift is also reportedly said to train.
She’s Obsessed With Ice Baths
Carpenter told Vanity Fair that she got into ice baths while on the “Short N’ Sweet” tour, which you can spot in a recent Instagram carousel post. “Not to sound like that guy, but I’ve started to do ice baths on tour. And that’s been a really new thing that I’m obsessed with.” Honestly, we get it. Ice baths, or cold plunges, are said to lessen muscle soreness, improve blood flow, increase alertness, boost immune function, and reduce inflammation.
She Uses Infrared Saunas
From supporting longevity, brain health, recovery, heart health, and more — is there anything infrared saunas can’t help? Sabrina Carpenter seems to know about some of the benefits, too having posted a photo of herself in an infrared sauna last August. Chances are, this is one of her go-tos when she’s busy and wants to find a moment of calm or perhaps unwind after a show.
She Writes a Gratitude List In the Morning
Practicing gratitude is a powerful booster for your mental and physical health — and Carpenter can confirm it works. “I do try to list things that I’m grateful for first thing in the morning, just so I can start off my day hopefully in an attempt to make it more positive, before anything else kind of gets into my head. It actually has [benefited] my days a lot, just by taking those couple seconds to do that, because I think otherwise it’s very easy to read something that is either good or bad news, but it just affects you in a weird way,” she told Marie Claire.
Her Self-Care? Baths and Writing
Carpenter prioritizes self-care, noting that long baths and writing help her feel her best. “I do love a bath. I think baths have been a life-saver to me, and again, music. Writing music has been my self-care. If I’m alone and I’m really stressed, I will be at my piano for hours on end,” she told Marie Claire.
She also likes to express her creativity outside of songwriting. According to Vogue, one of her hobbies that most people don’t know about is drawing and sketching. In 2025, Vogue reported that she likes to draw sketches of people, animals, and landscapes instead of keeping a personal journal.
