Taylor Frankie Paul might be trading her Mormon mommy influencer crown for a rose. At least, that’s what some Bachelor Nation fans are convinced of after Alex Cooper dropped a cryptic social media tease that set off a frenzy of speculation.
On September 8, the “Call Her Daddy” host posted a video on Instagram that looked more like a gender reveal than anything Bachelor-related. In the clip, Cooper sliced into a cake with “Season 30” written across the top in blue frosting. When she pulled up a slice, the inside revealed a bright pink stripe. “Wait, why is it pink?” she asked with mock shock as the camera zoomed in.
The caption — “Change of plans 🌹” — only fueled the fire. With the rose emoji and season number front and center, fans quickly jumped to conclusions that Cooper was teasing a connection to The Bachelor franchise.
Speculation flew in every direction. Some guessed Cooper might be stepping in to host The Bachelorette or even replacing Jesse Palmer altogether. Others thought she was teasing a big guest reveal on her podcast. And yes, a few fans even thought she was announcing a pregnancy — something Cooper quickly shut down. “Guys I’m not pregnant,” she clarified in the comments.
Still, the post had Bachelor Nation buzzing. If Cooper was hinting at The Bachelorette’s long-awaited return, who could possibly snag the lead? While fan-favorite Maria Georgas remains the top contender, some viewers zeroed in on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul after multiple castmates commented on Cooper’s post. Jessi Ngatikaura left a side-eye emoji and heart hands, while Demi Engemann added, “Oop!” with heart eyes.
Taylor herself has also sparked fresh dating rumors. Just last week, she posted — and then seemingly deleted — a photo of a mystery man, leading fans to wonder if she’s ready for a romantic spotlight of her own.
That said, not everyone is convinced Cooper could be involved in hosting duties. The podcaster already has her own dating series in the pipeline. She’s an executive producer on Hulu’s upcoming Love Overboard (formerly Overboard for Love), produced through her company Unwell Productions. The show, set on a luxury yacht, has already cast its stars and is slated to premiere soon.
Meanwhile, ABC has confirmed that The Bachelor will return for its milestone 30th season. Season 29 ended with Grant Ellis proposing to Juliana Pasquarosa, though the couple split just months later. Behind the scenes, Deadline reports that Bachelor in Paradise alum Scott Teti is stepping in as showrunner.
