One of Hollywood’s favorite pandemic couples is no longer locked down. Shaun White and Nina Dobrev have ended their engagement after five years together.
The 39-year-old Olympic gold medalist and 36-year-old actor are both icons, albeit for different reasons. White is a record-breaking snowboarder, while Dobrev played Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce (the hottest vampire of all time and her doppelgänger) on The CW’s Vampire Diaries.
But despite their different career paths, the couple had gradually become regarded as one of the most endearing celeb couples—especially as White competed in his last Olympic Games in Beijing in February 2022. After connecting at an event in late 2019, the couple spent lockdown together during the COVID-19 pandemic, eventually leaving their bubble and getting engaged in October 2024.
Nearly a year later, however, the couple have reportedly ended their engagement. Here’s everything you need to know about Shaun White and Nina Dobrev’s relationship.
