Remember the good old days, when you’d just turn the TV on and the Emmys would appear on the screen? Like Tower Records and Blockbuster video, those days are behind us, but it’s still fairly simple to watch the Emmys red carpet and ceremony. Here’s the scoop:
The red carpet
If you have cable TV service, the E! network’s red carpet show begins at 6 p.m. ET, hosted by Zuri Hall, Heather McMahan, and Keltie Knight. (Laverne Cox, the network’s host for the last three years, announced in January that she would not return.)
Via standard broadcast, CBS’s has a red carpet coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET; hosts for that will be Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner of Entertainment Tonight fame. Cord cutters can watch the CBS coverage via its Paramount+ premium plan, which is not the same thing as its ad-supported “essential” plan (and costs about $5 more/month).
The ceremony
CBS is the sole broadcaster of the awards, which begin at 8 p.m. ET. If you don’t have access to network TV, you can watch with the same Paramount+ premium plan you used to watch the red carpet.
