- The Wrong Paris, starring Miranda Cosgrove, debuted Sept. 12 on Netflix
- The romantic comedy is set in Texas, but it wasn’t filmed in the Lone Star State
- Some Paris, Texas landmarks make quick cameos in the movie, including the Texas Eiffel Tower
The Honeypot wasn’t all it appeared to be, and neither were The Wrong Paris‘ filming locations.
Netflix’s new romantic comedy stars Miranda Cosgrove as Dawn, a woman who goes on a Bachelor-esque dating reality show, The Honeypot, who thinks she is going to be sent to Paris, France.
But every good reality competition features a twist, and The Honeypot surprises its contestants with a location switch — sending the single ladies to Paris, Texas, instead of France.
Though The Wrong Paris exchanges the City of Lights for the Lone Star State, that doesn’t stop Dawn from falling for Trey (Pierson Fodé), The Honeypot bachelor that the other girls are vying for.
In September 2025, Cosgrove, who is the star and executive producer, told PEOPLE that she “wanted to just make sure that it was really fun and that people felt good after they watched [The Wrong Paris]. That’s just the whole point of these kinds of movies.”
So, where was The Wrong Paris filmed? Here’s everything to know about the movie’s real-life locations, including which ones are open for visits.

The Wrong Paris was filmed in Canada — specifically, Vancouver and Agassiz.
Vancouver has the nickname “Hollywood North” for the number of movie and television productions filmed in the region, and according to the Travel British Columbia website, Agassiz is “just 90 minutes east” of the city.
Wet and rainy Canada, standing in for hot and dry Texas, had its challenges as Cosgrove revealed in a September 2025 Decider interview.
“We had some really nice sunny days, but there were definitely a lot of rainy days too. It was my first time really experiencing Vancouver. It’s beautiful there though,” the iCarly star said.
The actress added that it was “really fun” to shoot in a more rugged terrain than a studio set.
“I love the feeling of being on a ranch, because I’m from the city, I’m from L.A. [Los Angeles], and it was a totally different pace and vibe on a ranch,” she continued. “I really liked it. Like, I could see myself living on a ranch some day because of it.”
Was The Wrong Paris filmed in Texas?

The Wrong Paris was not filmed in Texas; it was mostly shot in Canada.
The rom-com was in production in September and October 2024, according to the Hollywood North Buzz.
In September 2024, the Agassiz-Harrison Observer reported that the movie was shooting on Pioneer Avenue in Agassiz, warning residents that there might be traffic delays due to the production.
While The Wrong Paris was filmed in Canada, the movie still features quick cameos from real landmarks in Paris, Texas. After the women land in Texas, the Grand Theatre and the Texas Eiffel Tower can be seen.
The Texas Eiffel Tower was erected in 1993, and according to the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce website, its red cowboy hat was added in 1999. At night, the structure lights up with the color of the Texas flag. The site is open daily to visitors who want to stop by day or night.

Though The Wrong Paris was mainly filmed in Canada, Dawn eventually traveled to Paris, France, and so did the film’s production.
In October 2024, the movie’s director, Janeen Damian, posted a pic from set on Instagram, with the caption, “First day shooting in Paris with our amazing French team.”
Another post featured Damian and members of the crew in front of the Eiffel Tower. In the caption, the director wrote, “Does work get any better than this?”
Where is the bar where Dawn and Trey meet?

Before Dawn and Trey run into each other at Silver Spur Ranch, where The Honeypot is set, they have a romantic meet-cute at a western-themed bar.
In reality, the honky tonk is an actual location fans can stop by. The bar is Sossy’s Saloon, located at 7215 Pioneer Avenue in Agassiz.
In September 2024, the Agassiz-Harrison Observer mentioned the movie was filming at Sossy’s. That same month, the Sossy’s Saloon Instagram account posted about the establishment being closed due to filming.
Dawn and Trey have a swoon-worthy encounter at the bar, but even Cosgrove doesn’t believe that happens often.
“I wish [meet-cutes] were real. I’m sure it happens sometimes,” she told PEOPLE in September 2025. “It has to have happened to someone out there, right?”
