Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s wedding was straight out of a fairy tale — and yes, Taylor Swift was there to celebrate her best friend’s big day.
The couple, who have been together for two years, tied the knot in California on Saturday, September 27, surrounded by an A-list guest list that mixed Hollywood royalty, music icons, and longtime friends.
Gomez, 33, and Blanco, 37, stunned in Ralph Lauren wedding attire as they exchanged vows in front of family and friends. The bride shared the happy news herself with a romantic Instagram post captioned simply, “🤍 9.27.25 🤍,” alongside photos of her and Blanco kissing, holding hands and embracing. The following day, Blanco posted his own sweet Instagram tribute with a photo highlighting Gomez’s flowing veil, writing, “I married a real life disney princess,” in a nod to her Disney Channel roots.
And while fans immediately wondered if Swift would be in attendance, an insider confirmed to several outlets that the 35-year-old superstar was indeed part of the celebration. In fact, Swift didn’t just show up — she gave a heartfelt speech at the reception alongside Ed Sheeran, 34. Music legend Mark Ronson took the reins as DJ, while fellow stars SZA, Camila Cabello and Finneas also came out to support the newlyweds.
The star power didn’t stop there. Gomez’s Only Murders in the Building costars Steve Martin and Martin Short not only attended but delivered a memorable joint speech at the rehearsal dinner. Other big names included Paris Hilton, Paul Rudd, Cara Delevingne, Eric André, Zoe Saldaña, Édgar Ramírez, and several Wizards of Waverly Place cast members.
“Everyone was letting loose and celebrating them well into the night. The vibe was so much fun,” a source close to the bride and groom told People. “They were glowing all night, and both Selena and Benny couldn’t stop smiling. There was so much love in the room.”
The road to the altar was just as exciting. After Gomez announced her engagement on Instagram in December 2024, Swift playfully commented, “Yes I will be the flower girl.” Sheeran later revealed during Vanity Fair’s Lie Detector Test series that he had already scored an invite. And just weeks before the ceremony, Gomez shared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that Martin Short would have a hilarious role in the wedding, joking he’d be “the ring bearer.”
For Short, the milestone was especially meaningful. “I just adore her. I’m so happy that she’s getting married to this fabulous guy, Benny Blanco, who’s just one of the great, cool guys and funny and loose, and she adores him,”* he said on the “Good Hang with Amy Poehler” podcast. “I’m just thrilled for her happiness.”
