Basically, just on an average day like today, I wake up. Too early. [Laughs.] I go to school. I sometimes hang out with friends after, unless I have sports that I do. Then, that’s kind of it. It’s pretty normal, average, typical teenage life.
When you need some downtime or a moment for yourself, what do you like to do?
I feel like I don’t have too many of those moments. I hate being alone, so probably hanging out with friends because I don’t like being alone.
When do you feel the most like yourself—like the most confident, the most you? What are you usually doing?
Obviously just being with people I love, like my friends and my family, but definitely now, in front of the camera. I love filming videos, and I feel so confident and myself in front of the camera.
Could you describe your style in three words?
[Both laugh.]
Wait. Okay. I mean, probably, typical and average and comfy. I’m always wearing sweats and hoodies, like right now. I’m not dressing up for school.
What’s your proudest achievement, personally or professionally?
I think Sincerely Yours is a huge achievement. I’m so happy with everything that’s been happening.
Who do you look up to or consider a role model?
Jordan: You’re looking at him.
Salish: Honestly, actually, not even as a joke, my dad. He’s taught me so many things. He teaches me a lot.
Jordan: I was joking. Are we recording this? Because I want that. Can somebody get me that clip?
What’s your dream job, Salish?
Honestly, I’m not sure. I don’t know whether or not it’s going to be YouTube. I definitely think I want to do something with business, because I really enjoyed everything we’ve been doing [with Sincerely Yours]. I want to do YouTube for as long as I can. I’m not sure. I often think about that, and I don’t know.
