The Tonight Show went “Golden” on Tuesday night when EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami performed their hit song from KPop Demon Hunters.
The singers behind Huntrix, the group at the center of Netflix‘s blockbuster movie, performed their first full-length live rendition of the chart-topping single on Jimmy Fallon‘s late night show and then took the couch to be interviewed by the host.
The Tonight Show performance follows the trio’s first-ever live performance of parts of “Golden” during a KPop Demon Hunters-themed skit on this past weekend’s Saturday Night Live.
EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami voice the characters of Rumi, Zoey and Mira, respectively, in the Netflix and Sony Animation movie directed by Chris Appelhans and Maggie Kang that has become the streamer’s most popular title ever. The movie follows the adventures of K-pop girl group Huntrix and the three members who happen to also fight monsters from the underworld.
KPop Demon Hunters‘ success has been a surprise for the streamer. The soundtrack has spent eight weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart, reaching No. 1. And Netflix and Sony Animation are in talks for a sequel, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
