With the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 back in June, the gaming company has been slowly releasing new game for the console. However, ahead of the holiday season, Nintendo drops Pokémon Legends: Z-A, the long-awaited sequel to 2013’s Pokémon X/Y for the Nintendo 3DS.
The new game, which drops on Thursday, Oct. 16, is even included in a new bundle that pairs Pokémon Legends: Z-A with a Nintendo Switch 2 together, which makes an ideal gift for the holidays. The bundle goes for $499 at Walmart and other retailers online.
The new action role-playing game takes place in Lumiose City (in the Kalos Region), where you choose one of three Pokémon, Chikorita, Tepig, or Totodile, to partner with, as you search for new Pokémon around the city to catch, battle, and “Mega Evolve” through a series of battles.
Throughout Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you live at Hotel Z, where you build your life in the city with new outfits and hairstyles, as you cafés and take photos around Lumiose City’s picturesque skyline, towers, and skyscrapers.
If you already have a Nintendo Switch 2, you can just pick up a physical copy of Pokémon Legends: Z-A for $69 at Walmart. Meanwhile, the game is also available for the original Nintendo Switch. It’s priced at $59.88 from the retailer.
And since the Pokémon Legends: Z-A is from Walmart, you’ll get it shipped to you for free if you’re a Walmart+ member. Otherwise, your cart has to be more than $35 to get free shipping.
If you’re not a member, then you can sign up for a 30-day free trial to take advantage of everything the retailer’s rewards program has to offer with perks such as free, fast delivery; fuel discounts, streaming access to Paramount+ or Peacock to watch hit originals; additional savings with early access deals and much more.
