After years of headlines and tell-all books, Jill and Jinger Duggar reunited with their mom and sisters for a rare family photo.
Two years after releasing their own memoirs, Jill and Jinger were spotted together with Michelle Duggar and their sisters Jessa Duggar Seewald, Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth, Jennifer Duggar, Johannah Duggar, Jordyn-Grace Duggar and Josie Duggar during a women’s conference in Texas. It was a rare moment of togetherness for the Duggar siblings, who often keep their lives separate from the public eye.
Pregnant oldest sister Jana Duggar Wissmann, preparing for her first baby with husband Stephen Wissmann, was notably absent, but sister-in-law Kendra Caldwell Duggar, married to the family’s seventh child Joseph Duggar, joined the festivities.
“We had the best time on our Texas roadtrip to see fam,” Jill, 34, captioned a series of Instagram photos featuring her mom and sisters on Oct. 21. “Road tripping with the fam is always my fave!”
Jinger, 31, shared her excitement as well: “Best times with my mom and sisters over delicious Texas BBQ, and met many inspiring ladies! Can’t wait for next year.” Joy-Anna, 27, noted the few absences, adding, “Back together again (well… almost). Missing Jana, but so glad our sister-in-law Kendra is here!”
While this outing appears joyful, family gatherings like these remain relatively uncommon for Jill and Jinger, especially given their past tensions with father Jim Bob Duggar. Jill, who visited her parents’ Arkansas home over the holidays last year, revealed that conversations with Jim Bob were minimal.
“Jim Bob approached me while we were there on Christmas Day for about 5 minutes, and I do not respect him,” her husband Derick Dillard wrote on Instagram in January. “We’re trying to be civil for the sake of our family, but that doesn’t mean everything is all hunky-dorey.”
