Jennifer Lawrence is giving Twilight and Hunger Games fans a warning about her and Robert Pattinson‘s new film, Die My Love.
During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, host Jimmy Fallon pointed out that “all the internet’s going crazy that Katniss and Edward are in a movie together.” He was referencing the pair’s mega successful film franchises, which saw Pattinson play broody vampire Edward Cullen and Lawrence play the fierce Katniss Everdeen.
However, just because they’re starring in a new film together, Lawrence is reminding fans that this is a completely separate project featuring all-new characters.
“I’m very nervous that people are going to sprint to the theater thinking it’s like Katniss and Edward fanfic, and it’s not,” she explained. “It’s like a very idiosyncratic, like poetic, work of art.”
Lawrence added, “It’s great, but if you’re expecting fanfic, you’re going to be really disappointed. I’m just afraid it’s going to come out and everybody’s gonna be mad at me.”
Die My Love, which hits theaters Nov. 7, follows a couple in crisis as Lawrence’s Grace, a woman transplanted to rural America with her companion Jackson, slowly starts to slip into madness.
While Lawrence and Pattinson had never met before making the Lynne Ramsay-directed movie, they clearly got along well throughout filming, as the No Hard Feelings star has continued to praise her co-star.
“I was delightfully relieved that he is exactly how I assumed he would be,” she recently told The Hollywood Reporter. “He was very laid back, very sweet, funny. We could sit in silence together, which was very important to me. We could both scroll on our phones and not talk, which is really, really necessary in a co-star.”
