The celebrity set might sit it out (well at least most of them), but with a mix of artist, curators, gallerists, and collectors, the annual Serpentine Americas Foundation and Serpentine Council’s brunch might be one of the biggest power summits of the week. Held at Casa Tua in the hours before the main fair’s VIP preview, it’s a must-stop for frittata, coffee and gossip before the buying begins.
This year’s iteration brought an extra bit of good news. London’s Serpentine Gallery has partnered with New York’s Flag Art Foundation have launched a joint art prize. Every other year over the next ten years, an artist will be awarded the prize and tasked with putting a show that will travel between the two cities. Above, Flag’s Glenn Fuhrman, Serpentine’s Bettina Korek, and Hans Ulrich Obrist hold court.
Seperately, Serpentine also announced that it will host blockbuster shows by David Hockney and Ceciley Brown in 2026.
