Vanessa Hudgens is celebrating her early motherhood era — by looking back at life before sleepless nights and newborn snuggles.
On December 26, the High School Musical alum, 37, took to Instagram to share a cheeky throwback of herself posing in a hot pink one-piece swimsuit while kneeling on a table. With sunglasses, a slick bun and a huge smile, Vanessa radiated carefree energy — and admitted she’s feeling nostalgic for those “simpler times.”
“Well I haven’t gone to any holiday parties or even leave the home this holiday season,” Hudgens wrote. “Newborn life lol so here’s a photo of me in simpler times where I danced on tables. What a year it’s been. From this to mom of 2…. What a journey ❤️.”
The thirst-trap flashback comes nearly a month after Vanessa and husband Cole Tucker quietly welcomed their second child. The actress announced the exciting news on November 29 by sharing a raw photo from the hospital, her hair tied up in a scrunchie and her newborn resting on her chest.
“Well…. I did it. Had another baby!!! What a wild ride labor is,” she wrote. “Big shout out to all the moms. It’s truly incredible what our bodies can do ❤️.”
Days later, she revealed just how intense the delivery was, joking in an Instagram Story selfie, “Labor: Poppin out babies and blood vessels lol,” after popping a blood vessel during childbirth.
Vanessa and the former MLB shortstop, 29, have remained extremely private when it comes to their growing family. They welcomed their first child in July 2024 and baby No. 2 in November 2025 — but they’ve kept both little ones entirely off social media, never sharing names, photos or even genders.
Still, Vanessa hasn’t been shy about praising Cole’s parenting skills. “Happy Father’s Day to the best daddy in the world,” she wrote in June 2025. “You make parenting so much more fun, musical and magical.”
The couple — who first met in 2020 and went public later that year — have built a family life largely outside of the spotlight. But one thing Vanessa does plan to share with her kids? Her filmography.
“I’ll show my kids all my work,” she told E! in 2024. “That’s why I chose things along the way in my career. I wanted to make sure that when I did have kids, there would be something for them to watch at every age.”
