Ever wondered about the chandeliers that sparkle inside the Beverly Hilton ballroom during the Golden Globes ceremony?
Well, Swarovski has created four custom chandeliers for today’s awards show in partnership with Schonbek, a lighting company.
There are three smaller chandeliers that measure 36 inches and feature over 4000 crystals each. But the centerpiece is a 60-inch installation with over 10,000 crystals. The designs required nearly 25,000 crystals in total and 150 combined hours to produce.
Kolja Kiofsky, Swarovski Chief Commercial Officer, said, “We are thrilled to see these custom chandeliers take center stage at the Golden Globes. Each piece was designed to capture the brilliance and artistry that Swarovski is known for, and we can’t wait to see them shine on the red carpet as part of this iconic celebration.”
“The Golden Globes have always been about honoring brilliance, and the new Swarovski chandeliers on our red carpet embody that spirit, illuminating the night with craftsmanship, glamour, and cinematic magic,” said Helen Hoehne, President, Golden Globes. “As stars arrive, they transform the red carpet into a radiant stage, reflecting the creativity that define the Golden Globes.”
In a statement, Jenifer Walsh, CMO, WAC Group/Schonbek, added, “The collaboration between Schonbek and Swarovski showcases the transformative power of superior quality crystal lighting on one of the world’s most iconic stages, where craftsmanship, artistry, and storytelling come together. The luxury of an authentic Schonbek chandelier has been captivating audiences for more than 150 years and continues to set the standard for crystal lighting worldwide.”
