Naomi Watts’s Lookalike Son Looks So Grown Up in 18th Birthday Photos

Naomi Watts and ex Liev Shreiber’s eldest child is officially an adult and “ready for the world.” On Friday, July 25, the Mulholland Drive celebrated her son Sasha’s 18th birthday by sharing some nostalgic childhood images as well as rare, current-day photos of the teen that show just how grown up he looks.

Watts was the ultimate proud mom as she documented Sasha’s milestone birthday in a post shared with her two million Instagram followers. “Happy birthday sweet, darling @sashapeteschreiber,” she captioned her Instagram carousel post, adding, “18 today-and ready for the world! Cannot believe it.” 

In the first image, the teen—who was dressed in a light blue dress shirt paired with a pewter gray blazer—could be seen looking like Watts’s doppelgänger, thanks to the same light blue eyes, golden-blonde hair, and face structure. “Have so loved watching you grow into the kindest, most wonderful young man,” she added. “Thank you for making me a first time mum.”

Watts also shared an adorable “then and now” photo series, featuring a selfie of her beaming next to her shirtless son while they stood outside. Sasha could be seen wearing a gold chain and reflective blue sunglasses—a similar shape to the American Love Story actress’s black oval sunglasses, which she paired with several chunky layered necklaces, a gray button-up shirt and a plunging black tank top. In the second image, a young Watts went makeup-free with a black cap-sleeved t-shirt as she held a baby Sasha in her arms.

The Diana star could also be seen celebrating Sasha’s recent high school rite of passage: Going to prom. In a sweet mother-son moment, Watts wore a plunging floor-length white dress as she pinned a white flower on Sasha’s tux lapel.

Watts, who also shares a daughter, burgeoning model Kai, with Shreiber, first shared photos of Sasha’s prom adventures back in May. Watts and her  former partner reunited as they got ready to send the aspiring model and actor off to the high school dance, sharing a sweet selfie with their mini-me son on Instagram. The Perfect Couple actor shared a photo of their blended family’s reunion for Sasha’s graduation on June 5. Watts, who wore a flowery floor-length maxi dress and a straw hat, stood next to the graduate—who seemingly wore the same gray blazer and blue dress shirt that he wore in her birthday photo dump—as well as her husband Billy Crudup.
