“And, baby, that’s show business for you,” Taylor Swift wrote online to debut the album cover for her new LP The Life of a Showgirl, due Oct. 3, 2025. As Swift wrote on her Instagram on Wednesday, the forthcoming album is produced by previous Swift collaborators Max Martin, Shellback, along with Swift herself. Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl marks the follow-up to the singer’s 2024 LP The Tortured Poets Department.
Although she previously teased the cover when announcing the project on boyfriend Travis Kelce‘s podcast New Heights, Swift officially revealed the artwork on Wednesday. Swifties can now find everything including orange glitter vinyl, a cassette tape, limited-edition deluxe CDs, and even a poster on Swift’s site (while they last, at least).
While the album won’t get released until the fall, that hasn’t stopped Swifties from designing fan-made merch inspired by the songwriter’s newly released artwork in the meantime, including posters and apparel, on sites like Etsy and Redubble. The Life of a Showgirl-inspired merch includes everything from stickers featuring the album artwork to stylish prints featuring the album name in similar colors to the cover design.
“I would be playing shows. I would do like three shows in a row. I’d have three days off,” Swift said of writing The Life of a Showgirl during her time on the Eras Tour in Europe. “I’d fly to Sweden, go back to the tour, and was actually working on this. I was physically exhausted at this point in the tour, but I was so mentally stimulated and so excited to be creating.”
