Katherine Schwarzenegger Shares Rare Family Photos with Husband Chris Pratt

Katherine Schwarzenegger is celebrating “Leo season” by sharing some rare family photos.

The Good Night, Sister author, 35, posted a carousel of summery snapshots on Instagram on Friday, Aug. 15, featuring a glimpse of her family life with husband Chris Pratt. She also featured a clip from her dad Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 78th birthday celebration.

The carousel kicked off with a photo of Katherine posing with her sister, Christina Schwarzenegger, 34. The pair smiled as Katherine held a drink in her hand.

A second photo shows Pratt, 46, posing next to his father-in-law Arnold with his hand resting on his shoulder. The two men both wore dark-colored outfits as they stood outside on a stone patio.

Yet another snapshot in the carousel captured a sweet moment between Katherine and one of her daughters. The proud mom smiled as her little girl gave her a tight hug, with her arm wrapped around her neck.

She and Pratt share three children: daughters Lyla, 5, and Eloise, 3, and son Ford, 9 months. The Jurassic World actor is also dad to son Jack, 12, whom he shares with ex-wife Anna Faris.

Katherine’s post concluded with a video clip in which she told the camera, as her brother Patrick Schwarzenegger stood behind her, “Today, we’re going to be celebrating our dad’s birthday.”

Patrick, 31, then smiled and said, “Follow us,” as Christina trailed behind her siblings, carrying a cake with lit candles. The video ends with a quick glimpse of a lively outdoor party setup.

Katherine captioned her Instagram post simply, “Leo Season 🦁.”

Just days earlier, Katherine teased a big family milestone to come.

Alongside a photo of herself holding son Ford, she wrote on Instagram, “It just hit me that we’re 3 months away from having a one year old in the house… MY BABY!”

The post also featured a photo of Ford’s feet, clad in a tiny pair of red sneakers.

Pratt recently shared a little update on the soon-to-be 1-year-old.

“Ford, man, he’s doing great. He’s doing great,” he said during an appearance on Today on Aug. 4. “He’s the happiest baby. He’s got these giant, beautiful blue eyes. He’s so special. Everyone says that about their kids, most of them are wrong. I’m not wrong. This kid is very special.”

“He’s got a beautiful mama, a very caring and strong-willed father,” the Guardians of the Galaxy star added of his son’s support system. “And yeah, he’s now one of four of my children, and I’m so blessed.”

Pratt went on to share how he and his wife have differing parenting styles, explaining that he tries to take a more “sensitive” approach with their children.

“My style is very heavily influenced by how I was raised,” he said. “I was a very sensitive kid, but my dad was very tough and very strict. So I tend to be a little more mindful of the sensitivity in kids. So I’m not as tough and I’m not as strict.” 

As for Katherine, he said, she’s “more of the rule enforcer.”

“We have a nice balance there,” he noted.
