The NFL veteran was charged with DUI, possession of a handgun while under the influence, and implied consent and failure to exercise due care to avoid a collision on Oct. 17, 2024, when police arrested him in downtown Franklin, Tenn. The gun charge was dropped as part of the guilty plea, WGN reported.
Following the DUI, he was released on $5,000 bond on Oct. 17, 2024.
At the scene, Cutler, in his white Dodge Ram truck, rear-ended a blue GMC on Bridge Street, WSMV reported.

“Cutler was also slurring his words and had blood shot eyes,” the Franklin Police news release said. “Cutler refused field sobriety tests and was taken to a local hospital where a blood sample was obtained through a blood search warrant.”
Authorities then located “two firearms in his vehicle, including a loaded pistol,” the department alleges.
Cutler also allegedly attempted to flee the scene before offering to pay the driver of the vehicle $2,000 if he didn’t call the police, according to documents previously obtained by PEOPLE.
