Having plumbed the depths of the gothic universe for her Wednesday press tour, Jenna Ortega looks to be taking inspiration from Hot Topic employees of the mid-00s.
Stepping out in New York for a Netflix event—the “Graveyard Gala”—celebrating the second series of her hit show, Ortega wore custom GapStudio by Zac Posen. The dress was a dark, faded gray purple jersey fabric with a twisted halter front and cut out back. The back of the dress fell into a deep plunge with more cut outs arpeggiating across the small of her back. Its long train fell in shreds, with braided ends.

Ortega kept accessories to a mix of silver and gold chain necklaces, cocktail rings, and delicate bracelets, with a pair of huge black platform boots.
Taking to the event’s red carpet, she posed with fellow co-stars Emma Myers and Joy Sunday, as well as Lady Gaga. The pop star wore a gothic, clowny Anton Femia look and gargantuan Jenny Beattie Millinery hat, while Myers wore a denim Louis Vuitton crop top and jeans, and Sunday a Nina Ricci spring summer 2025 polka dot mini dress and headscarf set.
Gaga, who is currently on her mammoth Mayhem Ball tour, took the opportunity to announce that her next single “The Dead Dance”—which will feature on Wednesday —will release the same day Part Two of the series drops, on September 3. Fans are hoping Gaga—who previously starred in the equally spooky American Horror Story—will finally make an appearance on the show.
