And your filming schedule is demanding too. How did you decompress between seasons one and two?
I’m a real big homebody, and so I did a lot of nothing between the first two seasons, which was awesome. And then after season two, I took a big trip to Costa Rica, and it was fantastic. I cannot even describe how much I love it there. I went to Monteverde and Lake Arenal, the volcano, and then Manuel Antonio down by the beach. So it was really exciting to see different parts of the country. I love nature and wildlife, and so I felt like I was fully immersed there. I felt so happy and free.
What is it like when fans see you, either out in the jungle, or in Los Angeles?
It’s truly been wonderful because everyone is really, really kind. I’ve had young girls come up and say some really lovely things, and so it’s always so sweet to see everyone get so excited. I’ve only had the best interactions. And I hang out with Ashby and Noah a lot, and so when all three of us are together, people get very excited, and that’s always really fun. But it’s been seriously the kindest people, and so I love it every time. I’ve had a blast.
What do fans say when they see you with Ashby and Noah?
People don’t really ask me questions that much usually. They just say they love the show and get really happy and excited and start laughing, or ask for photos. It’s really, really cute. It’s fun.
Do they want to know if you guys are dating in real life?
I would say people ask that question quite a bit, yeah.
Is it hard when everybody wants to know about your personal life?
I think at first it was, but it’s been a few years now, so it’s not as difficult. I’m pretty used to people just asking questions or wanting to know, and honestly, I don’t blame them. It makes sense. So, yeah.
How do you most relate to Jackie?
She is extremely driven and a perfectionist, and I am that way as well. I think it’s both my greatest strength and also my biggest weakness.
What is your favorite part of Jackie’s look, and is there a hair and makeup trick that you’ve kind of taken from the glam team to use in your own life?
Jackie doesn’t wear too much makeup usually. The slicked-back ponytail is probably my personal favorite that I would do in my own life, because it’s so easy and I think it looks great. So a wax stick is really nice to keep my ponytail in place. I use one from Elite.
