There’s a new top dog with a Best in Show title.
On Aug. 24, Rosewood Miramar Beach in Montecito, Calif., hosted the fourth annual Miramar Best in Show, a playful and stylish dog show held on the resort’s Great Lawn. The 2025 show was presented by L.A. lifestyle brand STAUD and partnered with Bluejay Electric Bicycles.
Best in Show star Jane Lynch used her dog show experience to expertly host the Miramar Best in Show alongside Rosewood Miramar Beach’s managing director, Rick Fidel. Celebrities also had a part in picking the winners of the adorable event. Ted Lasso star Cristo Fernandez and actress Camilla Belle, dressed in STAUD, helped judge the dog show.
“Dogs are our earth angels, and they truly make life better. Sadly, their time here with us is so short, so we have to love them unconditionally and treat them as the gifts that they are,” Belle tells PEOPLE about why she chose to celebrate canines through the Miramar Best in Show.

Unlike the Westminster Dog Show, the Miramar Best in Show is open to all dogs, not just pedigree breeds. Pup participants pay a small fee to enter the dog show. The proceeds from this year’s entries were donated to Love Leo Rescue and the Santa Barbara Humane.
“Hopefully this won’t sound cliché or too precious, but they’re all wonderful!” Lynch says about her favorite canine competitor.
Somehow, the judges managed to choose a winner, awarding Best in Show to Tucker, owned by Santa Barbara local Kathleen Wilson.

“This year’s winner, Tucker, truly stole our hearts-a gentle rescue Dalmatian who also happens to be a service dog. The combination of resilience, grace, and purpose embodied everything we want to celebrate at Miramar Best in Show. It was a win that felt meaningful far beyond the runway,” Jon Zeiders, president of STAUD and Miramar Best in Show judge, shares.
The dog show also gave awards for Trick of the Day, Best Look, and Spectator’s Choice.

“The standout was definitely the winner for best look! The whole family got involved and dressed up as The Wizard of Oz characters, which was hilarious, and their dog was the lion,” Belle says, naming a favorite moment from the show.

“The Miramar Best in Show is unlike any other because it blends the worlds of fashion, community, and philanthropy-all in celebration of our pets. It’s not just about showcasing beautiful dogs; it’s about coming together as brands, owners, and animal lovers to raise awareness and support for a meaningful cause. That sense of purpose is what makes this event so special,” Zeiders says of the event overall.
